Invaders. Le Locle, Switzerland.

The piece is my reference to the historical event of Le Locle – the Burgundian invasion of Switzerland and a story about the local woman Marianne Besancenet who restrained the invaders with a furious bull and defended the village.
As usual, I’ve avoided an illustrative way of depicting of the story, but have made it in metaphorical way.
As an Ukrainian artist whose country is suffering from the barbaric russian attack, with this work I want to link the past events in Switzerland with modern events in Ukraine and to draw the attention of the Swiss people to the fact that the freedom have to be defended with arms. This is my call to Swiss people to support Ukraine.
